New Affordable Housing Complex Opens in Bed Stuy

Another affordable housing lottery in Bed Stuy has opened for families with incomes ranging from $76,972 to $159,640 for households of one to five people.

This affordable housing lottery has two one-bedroom units and four two-bedroom units with rents starting at $2,245. The highest monthly rental is $2,710.

The six new apartments are located at 770-774 Lexington Avenue, between Patchen Avenue and Malcolm X Boulevard.

Applications for the affordable housing lottery must be submitted by March 31, 2021. Apply through NYC Housing Connect. Tenants are responsible for electricity including electric stove, heat and hot water.

This building is anticipated to receive a Tax Exemption through the 421a Tax Incentive program of the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development.

Other Affordable Housing Lotteries in Brooklyn

Two more affordable housing lotteries have opened in Brooklyn. One housing complex is in Wingate, and the other is in Bushwick. For those new to Brooklyn, the housing lottery is a way to get an affordable apartment that are partially sponsored by the City.

A one-bedroom and two two-bedroom units at 648 Midwood Street in Wingate are available for those households of one to five whose income range between $76,835 and $159,640.

Another affordable housing building is located on Fulton between Albany and Troy at 1620 Fulton Street. That housing complex will have 94 units and 11 floors.
